Team Denver Marine put on the event of the year when 9 local Wal-Mart's, Cheerwine, Bo-jangle's and Ranger Boats, hosted the Kid's Fishing Tournament on Lake Norman. This event was well planned. In February we wondered if we could even handle a 1000 kids. Bad weather hit, but, all went well as some 350 kids fought the rain to be part of this awesome event. This first annual kid's tournament was held May 11, 2002 at the lake Norman State Park, between the hours of 9 am till 2 pm. The kids between the ages of 4 and 15 were invite to sign up at the local Wal-Mart's. This meant that Team Denver Marine would have a display for the next nine weeks at the local Wal-Mart's. Guess what ? We made it happen and we also happened to have a record month of Ranger sells.  Team Denver Marine again made it happen..special thanks to all the Fisherman and sponsors !!!
